Today we picked our first habanero pepper.
They’ve been growing in a pot by the front door all summer.
(Why does everything I pot grow sideways?)
Aaron stewed it with ground beef, tomatoes and onions and we made burritos on whole wheat tortillas with refried black beans, pepper jack cheese, lettuce, yogurt, and a homemade smooth salsa (tomatoes, canned chipotles in sauce, onions and garlic all whirled in the blender). Simple, yummy, spicy.
