Vegetation August 5, 2006

Here are some pics from the vegetable garden last Sunday:


Cucumbers are our strongest crop right now. And tasty, too.


Chioggia beets starting to come in. Haven’t had any of these myself yet.


Our first Brandywine tomato. Green Zebras and Golden Peaches also coming right along. Picked the first Black Plums this week – very sweet and flavorful.


And soon, bell peppers!

Not from our garden:

Midget tomatoes and some kind of heirloom from First Fruits Produce at the Farmer’s Market. Too pretty not to photograph, and too yummy not to snack on all day.
