Mitts & cardi March 23, 2006

trackback

Made these over the weekend on my trip to Chicago (for SAM):

The pattern was “a little twist wristwarmers”. Loved the pattern. Simple and a good way to get practice with cables. Also pretty and very practical. We keep the place at 60 deg., so it helps with the typing.

The yarn was knitpicks merino style in “fog.” Soft, great to knit with, inexpensive, BUT fuzzes up almost immediately. It’s hard to see in this picture, but they look like I’ve been wearing them for weeks or months instead of 2 days.

I want to make lots more, but I think I need a more durable yarn.

And here’s my progress on my cardigan–still one sleeve left to go:

But it will have to be put aside for a while. Need to work on something else.
